We often feel like falling off the weight loss wagon, but it’s an illusion. All you need are a few mantras and a little determination to get back on it. People often say they need more time, energy, or motivation to lose weight. However, the key to becoming a better version of yourself is inside you.

If you want to get healthy, nothing can stop you. Losing weight will help you look and feel better and make you less likely to get type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and other lifestyle-related diseases. Hormones “out of whack” can also be fixed and put back into place by losing weight.

My goal is to do the same as others have done:

Getting rid of excess weight, it’s easy to do. All you have to do is eat right and work out, and the weight will start to come off. No one can stop you from losing weight and getting in shape if you stop eating junk food and fast food, eat clean, and work out at least 40 minutes a day, five days a week. If many people around you have lost weight, you can too!

Take Small Steps to Lose Weight, Not Big Leaps:

Some people try fad diets and crash diets to lose weight quickly, but they feel overwhelmed and fall off that “weight loss wagon” we discussed. You must take small steps to lose weight, like cutting the number of calories you eat, eating more slowly, giving up sugar, drinking more water, and starting with just 30 minutes of exercise. When we make small changes, it’s easy to make them a part of our lives, and when we reach our goal weight, it’s easier to keep the weight off. Don’t make big changes at first, like giving up whole food groups or spending too much time at the gym.

It takes time to gain and lose weight.

Be patient! Losing weight is a process; the fat layers under your skin won’t just melt away in a day or a week. To get results, you have to work every day and be consistent. It takes about three months for most people to see results worth noticing.

Losing weight requires a change in lifestyle.

One of the primary reasons crash dieting never works is that it cannot be established into a habit. Even if someone successfully loses weight via crash dieting, their body will usually regain it, plus more once they stop the diet.

I can only be a better version of myself if I eat healthy food:

Eat pizza on your diet if you want, it’s okay. Every meal is a fresh start; you can’t go all out and use that as an excuse to start eating high-calorie, unhealthy meals from then on.

What you eat in private today will show up on your body in public tomorrow:

If you eat healthy today, tomorrow, and the day after that, nothing can stop you from getting in the shape and weight you want, and tomorrow you can wear whatever you want.

Don’t stuff your face; look at what you have:

Eating out of stress or emotion is a bigger factor in weight gain than you think. If you eat comfort foods like chaat, chocolate, and chips when you’re stressed, it’s going to be a double whammy later on. Stress makes you gain weight on its own, and if you eat mindlessly when stressed, the calories will add up and show on your body the next day. Deal with the problem and stop putting your stress on comfort foods.
